What I Know Today

The weather is gorgeous and the mild cool front has worked wonders for this pregnant mama.

I'm hopefully excited that the nursery will finally get put together this weekend.  My OCD can't handle much more waiting.

It IS a big deal to sew curtains with three rows of ruffles...ie a labor of love.

My belly button is extremely sensitive...as in I don't like my shirt brushing against it.

My ankles, fingers and face are NOT swollen  yet.

I love spending time with my three-year-old and am slightly grieving losing all our one on one time.

My three-year-old is WAY smarter than I give her credit.  And I can't believe she'll be starting pre-k in the fall.

I have a supportive, loving husband who has been hard working on the "before the baby comes to-do list" with little to no complaints.

I have the best BFFs on the planet.

I love my job.

My to-do list is finally growing shorter.

It's hopeless wishing my three-year-old won't talk with a southern drawl.

The first sunscreen smell of the season is invigorating.

There's no way to better spend an afternoon at home than watching I Love Lucy episodes with my three-year-old.

Orange juice is a comfort food.  And there's no such thing as too much Mexican food.

July will be here way too fast.

July can't get here soon enough.

Zoo Fun

We went to the zoo last week when Grandpa, Nana and JuJu came up for an Easter visit.  There are no pictures of any adults; you'll just have to take my word on it.  Who wants to see adults or animals, anyway, right?

Thirty minutes into our outing look who we ran into!!  Two of Kendall's favorite friend boys, Caleb and Collin.  These boys are so precious to me and I think Kendall has taking a liking to them as well.

My friend, Danielle, the mama of these two precious buddies, summed it up perfectly...

"When my boys and Kendall get together, this is how it goes: Kendall follows Caleb (and makes sweet eyes at him when she thinks nobody's looking) and Collin follows Kendall (and makes sweet eyes at Kendall when he thinks nobody's looking)."

Yep.  That's pretty much the M.O. when they're together.

Like I said.  No pics of animals.  No pics of adults.  And no proof as usual that my family was actually there.  But you saw the highlights.

Easter 2012

For Eater this year we had a great time spending the day together.  The weather was absolutely perfect so we took full advantage of it.

We snapped a few pictures that morning before heading off to church.

I've really been a slacker on the belly shots this time around.  I heard that's just typical of the second.  Some things just don't get done as before.  So here I am at 25 weeks.

After church we ate lunch outside per Kendall's request.  It was a good idea!  We hung around and just relaxed enjoying the good weather.

Kendall gave her daddy some sweet kisses as well.
Then we went to a local nature park which has recently opened.  It was our first visit and we loved it.

We wrapped it all up with a trip to the park and ice cream.  It was a great, relaxing day.

Zaccheus (Kendall Version)

The other day we played "circle time"and Kendall, of course, was the teacher.  All her princess barbies sat still and quietly on carpet squares (yes, we had to track down real carpet squares just like the ones at school) and listened intently to Kendall tell the story.

"Ok, guys.  Listen.  I'm going to tell you the story." (In her most caring, in-charge, teachery voice while holding her open Bible in her lap opened up to the Zaccheus story/picture).

"Does Jesus help us??"  (two second pause for pupil response)  "That's right.  Yes He does.  Jesus helps us when we get stuck in trees.  Do you ever get stuck in trees???  Ok, Jesus will help you when you get stuck in trees."
