Randomness

April/May randomness...

I didn't know my child could float as evidenced...

Poor thing just couldn't hang while we were waiting for our house to show...

While Mommy worked in her office, Brielle led a music class complete with "carpet squares" and instruments...

After five months of waiting it was FINALLY time for Frozen On Ice!....

Tooth #5 lost in a hot dog at the Children's Museum...

I found this while checking on girls before heading off to bed myself...

Kendall's KingSinger program.  She nailed her speaking part!...

Apparently the struggle is real...

Snowballs in New Orleans....

Playing in the rain at a family reunion...

Very real struggle...especially after swimming...

Brielle Conversations {vol.3}

Even though Brielle now hates the feeling of a dirty diaper (she usually strips down necked), she's not ready to use the big girl potty yet.  While at home with Daddy this weekend, she had a dirty diaper and began her signature wide-stance waddle to the bedroom for a change. Turning and looking at Daddy,

Brielle: Dis is how I do it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I lean over to kiss Brielle on the head.

Brielle: Mo-om! You're messing up my mane!

Me: Messing up your mane?!

Brielle:  Yeah, Simba says that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a conversation about swimming,

Brielle:  I don't know how to do that yet.

Me:  You can't?

Brielle:  No, but Daddy is going to practice me how.

Kindergarten Stuff and BFFstuff

It's crazy to think we're winding down Kendall's kindergarten year. Here's some pics of Kendall and her school bff, Kenzi over the past months...

And here's a few pictures from field day last week...

Ballet Recital 2015

Kendall completed her second year of ballet lessons. We were all so excited to see how she had excelled in the past year.

Kendall and her sweet friend, Hannah.  All school year Kendall went home with Hannah on ballet days since Mommy was at work.  And sweeter yet, Mrs. Elaine dressed Kendall, including her bun, each week and brought her to the church just in time for their lesson.  I owe a big one to her!

Here's Kendall and her friend, Reagan.  Their height variance has always cracked us up!

We're so proud of our little ballerina!

And So It Begins...Moving!

After several years of waiting for God's timing, we've made the decision it's time to SELL our house and BUILD another!

First item on agenda...finish architecture plans...CHECK

Second item on agenda...stage the house. (not so easily checked off the list!)

And the first order of business for staging is to clear out all the stuff that has made us outgrow this house!  Packing up stuff is bittersweet for me.  Though my OCD loves order and neatness, it's still difficult to pack up or get rid of all the stuff.  I keep reminding myself it's the memories attached to the stuff, not the stuff itself.  I'm still holding on to the memories, but trying to bring "less is more" into our everyday lives.

And if this pile for storage is indicative of the entire moving process ahead of us, I'm gonna be wiped out by the time it's all done.  But, oh, how worth it all it'll be!

Yipes!

And Sanford and Son tackled the garage storage closet one weekend. This pile here...

Became THIS....

and on the count of three...1...2...3...

BIG COLLECTIVE SIGH OF HAPPY RELIEF "AHHHHHHHH"...

Oh be still my fluttering OCD heart!

But, seriously, back to the not-so-fun, yet hilarious in the process, staging agenda.  Hence our "oceanfront" storage unit. Notice Gabe lifting the hatch.

And more fun was the décor and "de-person-ifying" of the house.  Down came all the family pictures.

Except for these two of the girls.  And I'm really only posting these pictures for my own sake so I can have documentation of how our house last looked before we moved.   After all, it's been our home for 13 years!

Baaack to work, painting ALL cabinets, trim and almost all doorframes in the house.

Will all our hard work pay off????.........
