The New House - Phase 2

Yea!! We're making tremendous progress on our house! And we're so ready to move in!

Very quickly our house went like this...

to this...!!!

There hasn't been one weather delay.  And everyone wonders why we're experiencing drought like conditions...HELLO!  The Gozas are building a house!

I've heard nightmare stories about building. So far we just haven't had any.  Yes, there's been moments where my mind was swimming in all the decision making.  And yes, there were a few hiccups that had to be resolved, fixed and/or re-thought.  But it's really been a smooth transition.  Maybe because I've been building our home in my head for five years?? Literally, five years.  I've mentally walked every square inch of that house over.  and over.  and over.  And I have Pinterest boards, one for each room.  And I have binders, and sketches, and notes.  And...I have the best builder around.  He's fabulous.

Gabe and I have actually had more fun and laughs and memories made than anything else.

We're just SO ready to be in this house that is just perfect for our family.

The New House - Phase 1

FINALLY after years of waiting and planning, and waiting some more (sometimes patiently, some times not as much) we are building our new house!! God's timing is perfect as always! It's amazing how He has provided all we need, including the timing, to start this new season of our lives. And we've had SO MUCH fun watching the house go from our dreams and visions to reality!

I've heard horror stories about building, and maybe we just haven't reached the rough part, but honestly, it's been fun for us.  Maybe since I built it for six years in my head, it's easy to see the vision unfold.  Maybe we're just so excited to be at this point we don't seem to mind the hurdles.

Anyway, here's the progress!  We're bringing a little big of New Orleans to Mississippi!

(Seriously, real sophisticated inventory organizational skills here...)
