Brielle is 1.5!

Yesterday marked Brielle's eighteen month birthday. Craziness.

At one and a half Brielle...

...invokes laughs.  She loves to be laughed at (and she's pretty successful at it too).

... is nicknamed Tamerin after a specific species of monkey that is cute and little but known for attacking out of nowhere.

... can count to three.

... loves animals, especially dogs, cats and pigs.

... grabs her lunchbox on school mornings, excited to go.

... imitates everything her sissy does because she thinks she's five also.

... walks on her tip toes.

... climbs!

... sleeps with her blankie and sometimes her doll.

... refuses to drink from a sippy cup without a straw.

... is a sometimes picky eater, but overall Mommy can't complain.

... loves strawberries, bananas, goldfish and cheese sandwiches the most.

... loves to read her penguin counting book

... helps Mommy unload the dishwasher, dryer, and groceries.

... rearranges the Rubbermaid cabinet daily.

... watches whatever Sissy watches on tv.

... thinks Sissy's room is awesome.

... has an uncanny knack of cleaning up and sorting. (fingers crossed she's neat and OCD)

... says "no" with what sounds like a Hispanic accent.

... refuses to smile for the school photographer even though she's always smiling any other time.

... waves hello and goodbye to strangers.

... likes to color.

... identifies the letter B for her name.

... is laid back and easy going.

... has the same egg allergy as she sister :(

... falls asleep in the car.

... likes her paci too much.

... loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

... says:  Mommy, Daddy, book, ball, bird, shoe, please, thank you, bye bye, cracker, cookie, juice, goldfish and her name.

... says Papa also which gets Gigi mad.

... can give looks like her mama.

... loves to dance.

... plays a lot with her tea set, Little People Disney princess castle, and figurines of any fashion.

... doesn't care much for Sesame Street but likes Elmo.

... bounds around the corner when she hears Daddy come home after work.

... points to her diaper and says "wet" (please, please I deserve an easy-to-potty train child)

... will go get a diaper from her drawer in the room, bring it to Mommy, and lay down to be changed.

... gives the sweetest hugs and cuddles ever.

Happy eighteen month birthday, Briellie Bop!!

Kendall Conversations {vol. 16}

While reading from her new Bible...

Daddy: Yes, God made the sun so we could see how wonderful everything He made is.

Daddy: What are you glad that God made that the sun lets you see?

Kendall: I'm glad He made the sun so I could see Disney World.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kendall's absolute favorite movie (and Christmas present) right now is The Sound of Music.  She was introduced to it with Carrie Underwood's latest version, and now she's absolutely obsessed.  Her five-year-old mind is trying to wrap itself around elapsed time and that the movie made a long time ago is about a family that lived even longer ago.  Apparently these concepts can be tricky...

Kendall:  Are the real VonTrap children still alive?

Daddy:  I think so.

Kendall:  Well I know Leisl is because she's sixteen going on seventeen.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last morning in Disney World while we're in line for the bus to take us to Magic Kingdom,

Kendall:  Didn't you tell me no more Sprite (in my refillable resort mug that we're been filling every morning before embarking for the day)??

Mommy (for the tenth-ish time):  Yes!  Because every morning you've had to PEE while we've been on the bus on the way to a park.

Kendall:  Ok.  Good.  I got root beer instead.

Mommy thinking to herself: @#*%(%#*#(@)!
